About Me
My name is Julia Carpenter. I live on a farm in the mountains of western North Carolina. My husband and I enjoy traveling with our animals and living with them on our small farm. I am currently studying to be a practitioner of the Trust Technique which is a wonderful method of building trust and connection with animals. I worked in the past in the wildlife and environmental field. I hold academic degrees from Boston University and Tufts. I have had a lifelong friendship and association, researching, training and caring for animals. I grew up on a horse farm in Vermont. I have also been a licensed horseback instructor and trainer. My animal paintings have been shown in galleries and shops in the suburbs of Boston and in Essex and Ipswich, Massachusetts. I love spending as much time as possible in the company of animals. My husband Bernie Harberts is an author, long rider and adventurer. His website is riverearth.com. |
